What is the Supper Club?

The Supper Club is a Live Social Network for local people who want to make the most of their spare time. It is made up of ‘Interest Groups’ that bring together people with shared interests to take part in a range of informal community events and activities.

How does it work?

It starts with you coming along to our monthly Supper Club event, which is held on the last Thursday of each month,at the Froud Center,  Manor Park. Light refreshments are supplied, and you can bring your own supper, cook in our kitchen or share food with others. There will be new people to meet and our Supper Club organiser who will be there to help you feel at home and tell you about the activities that are available for members. You can pop in for five minutes to say hello or stay for the evening, as we usually have something going on from guest speakers, to hands on activities.  If you want to find out more or join any of the different Interest Groups, you can then sign up as a member of the Supper Club.  All the activities are informal and you can choose to dip in or out of them depending on how much free time you have.

The Interest Groups that make up the network cover a wide variety of interests and activities that are all organised by members themselves. This could include anything from exploring the local area, meeting up to see a film, learning a new skill or trying out a new language.

The more people join the network, the more we can help to set up new Interest Groups. You may feel that you have an interest or activity others might like to find out about and with our help you could become an Interest Group Host.

Every month Aston-Mansfield will publish an updated programme of current activities and, depending on your interests, you choose to join in any of them – or we can help you set up your own Interest Group.

Membership to the Supper Club is free although there may be a payment for some of the activities organised by the Interest Groups.

Why is the network called “The Supper Club’?

We want every member of the network to have the opportunity to meet up, collectively, on a regular basis. That is why we organise a monthly supper event, open to everyone, which will provide an opportunity to meet other Supper Club network members and find out more about forthcoming activities and events.

How do I get involved?

Become a Member – Sign up, choose an activity or event that interests you and then join in with people in your local area. Come along to the regular Supper Club events and suggest your own.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP?
